Nimat Jaffer

VAWG Programme Manager

Nimat joined LCF from a policy and strategy role in the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire. Prior to that she worked in business and service development for Central Bedfordshire Council for the community directorate. She has also worked frontline at St Mungo’s, supporting young homeless people with complex needs.

Role

Nimat is our VAWG Programme Manager, part of the Grants and Impact team working alongside our Grant Programmes Managers. She is highly specialised, focusing on the £3m Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Grassroots Fund, developed by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). Nimat manages the strategic delivery of this fund and is honoured to be working with 41 diverse grassroots organisations across London. As part of her role, she is also an Advisor to New Philanthropy Capital’s Open Philanthropy Programme.

Nimat loves photography and London is one of her favourite places to shoot. The cityscape by night and the diversity in architecture, culture and people make for some amazing captures!

Did you know?

Nimat held a baby alligator when she visited Everglades National Park in Miami.
