We are deeply concerned by events in Ukraine and want to extend our solidarity to our fellow community organisations working to support people and communities.
Our membership organisation UK Community Foundations has joined community foundations in Poland, Latvia, Romania, Ukraine, Hungary, Germany to help the 20 operational community foundations currently working in Ukraine and surrounding humanitarian organisations. Their blog outlines what is being done internationally within our network to offer support to Ukrainian community foundations.
We are monitoring the situation closely – particularly around the arrival of refugees in London and how best we can work to support them. For those wishing to give, we recommend the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal as the most effective way to support humanitarian efforts from the UK.
