Acts20:35

Acts20:35 is a charitable fund, set up in 2024 in partnership with The London Community Foundation.

Inspired by the words, ‘it is more blessed to give than to receive’ (Acts 20v35), the fund aims to tackle the need witnessed around Hammersmith and Fulham, the area local to the founders.

The focus of Acts20:35 is food insecurity; shaped by the belief that if everyone has access to healthy and affordable food, then they have the opportunity to live life to the full. The huge impact of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis has resulted in a growing need: the number of people in ‘food insecure’ households rose to 7.2 million in 2022/23, an increase of 2.5 million people since 2021/22.*

All staff members of Acts20:35 volunteer in different organisations connected to food insecurity, gaining front-line experience from locally embedded charities tackling this issue.

We dare to ask, 'What would need to be done for no person in Hammersmith and Fulham to be facing food insecurity?’
Acts20:35

To date, Acts20:35 has started funding projects ranging from fruit and vegetable vouchers to community meals using waste food, all within the borough. The aim is to continue to support and come alongside those already doing the work, as well as exploring new ways to answer their central question addressing food insecurity.

The founders prefer to remain anonymous.
