Francis Salway

Chair

Why London?

For Francis, to give to London is to recognise the fact that big cities are characterised by extremes: wealth and poverty; golden opportunities for some and a dearth of opportunity for others. Which is why giving back locally, and increasing the range of opportunities for people of all backgrounds, is important to him. Francis has chaired LCF since 2012, and has seen first-hand the way in which LCF operates, using in-house expertise to enable donors to make a difference. Magical green spaces like Bonnington Square in Vauxhall are amongst Francis’s favourite London discoveries.
