Structural barriers in the UK have created large racial inequalities that have been worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic. They have placed a big strain on people and families' economic mobility.

To help address this in London, JPMorgan Chase, supported by The London Community Foundation (LCF), is committing £2 million over 3 years to invest in organisations providing Employment, Enterprise and Financial Health (EEFH) support with leaders from Black and Minoritised backgrounds.

This programme will provide funding and support to help strengthen Black and Minoritised community-led organisations who are best placed to support their communities and to help remove barriers to economic opportunity.

This programme will raise the voice and experience of the Black and Minoritised community led employability, enterprise and financial health sector and the organisations that support them by bringing partners together to design and deliver activities. It will help demonstrate and promote their important role in London in addressing inequalities and creating new opportunities post COVID.

Through phase 1 of the programme, 6 organisations have been awarded stabilisation and engagement support of up to £11,500 (round 1) over the next 6 months to support the delivery of EEFH services/projects. Click here to see the list of funded organisations.

Phase 2 is being co-designed with our partner organisations and will be announced early 2022.
