Made By Sport 'Clubs In Crisis' Fund

Made By Sport have partnered with community foundations to distribute £4.4m funding to organisations and sports clubs across the UK who deliver sports development programmes for young people up to the age of 25. Grants of £2,021 of unrestricted funding will be awarded to eligible organisations.

The London Community Foundation will be awarding funding to organisations based in London. However, organisations based in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Hackney and the City of London should apply to the East End Community Foundation.


The fund is looking for applications from clubs and community organisations using sport to improve young people’s lives through one or more of the following means:

  • Developing life skills
  • Building strong communities
  • Improving mental health
  • Developing employability skills
  • Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour


Clubs or organisations which intentionally use sport to deliver wider social outcomes with an annual turnover of up to £75,000 are eligible to apply.

Grant size

Unrestricted grants of £2,021 will be available.

The donation being made by Flutter is the amount it benefitted from as a result of business rates relief, which was put in place from March 2020 to March 2021 for its shops in England.
